Editorial Method
Still Eight separates cultural education, general wellbeing information, and movement instruction so readers can see what has—and has not—been reviewed.
Operator identity, legal contact, jurisdiction, and effective date will be completed before public launch. This page is currently excluded from search indexing.
Scope and source hierarchy
We prioritize current standards, government and intergovernmental cultural sources, official health agencies, peer-reviewed research, and clearly identified practitioner organizations. Sources are chosen for the claim they support; one reference is not treated as authority for every aspect of a tradition.
External sources are linked where they help readers verify names, history, safety context, or competing interpretations.
Names and translation
Chinese names, Hanyu Pinyin, and English labels are kept distinct. Reader-friendly English titles are identified as editorial translations when no single official English rendering is established. Historical variation is acknowledged rather than flattened into one universal lineage.
Health and movement claims
We avoid claims that Baduanjin cures, prevents, or treats disease. General safety information is separated from individualized medical advice.
Movement steps, posture cues, breathing coordination, and demonstrations require review by an appropriately qualified Baduanjin practitioner. Pages awaiting that review remain clearly labelled, non-instructional, and excluded from search indexing.
Review and publication status
- Cultural and general educational pages are checked for source fit, clarity, and overclaiming.
- Health wording receives an additional safety review appropriate to the claim.
- Instructional material records its reviewer, review date, version, and source basis before publication as teaching.
- Missing review is shown to the reader; it is not hidden behind polished visuals.
Tools, independence, and corrections
Automated tools may assist drafting, editing, design, engineering, and testing. They are not presented as subject-matter reviewers. Human editorial responsibility, source checking, and professional movement review remain necessary.
The site currently has no sponsors, paid placements, affiliate links, or product sales. Any future commercial relationship must be disclosed near the affected content.
A corrections contact, named editorial owner, correction log location, and formal update cadence remain to be confirmed before launch.
