An alternating side-to-side pattern shaped like drawing a bow, practised without force.

Editorial learning draft

Move through the shape slowly.

  1. 01

Settle into a stance that feels stable and cross the wrists softly in front of the chest.

  2. 02

Open one arm outward while the opposite arm forms the drawing action.

  3. 03

Return through the centre and repeat to the other side.

Key posture cues

  • Keep the lower body steady.
  • Let the chest stay broad rather than rigid.
  • Follow the opening hand with a comfortable gaze.

Common errors to review

  • Sinking lower than balance allows.
  • Pulling with tense shoulders.
  • Twisting the knees instead of turning through the body.
Safety first

Choose a narrower stance or smaller arm range if balance, knee, or shoulder comfort is limited.

Stop immediately with pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath, palpitations or other concerning symptoms.
